Marwah Chowdhury

Chairman

A background in Medical Biotechnology and Medical Genetics informs how she approaches product formulation, quality standards, and the science behind what goes into a consumer product. She built the operational foundation of Maple & Mahrus through N.M International, her global sourcing and import business — where she has managed raw material procurement for FMCG supply chains for over a decade.

The commercial understanding she brings to this company is not theoretical. It comes from sitting across the table from manufacturers in multiple markets, understanding exactly what is in a product, what it costs to make it right, and what trade partners actually need to move it. She founded Maple & Mahrus to put that understanding directly into the Bangladesh consumer market.

“This is more than a business. It is a promise, to carry forward a legacy built on integrity, and to build brands that people genuinely rely on.”

Managing Director

Makzan drives the commercial and operational strategy of Maple & Mahrus. His focus is execution — the three disciplines he considers non-negotiable are supply consistency, trade term integrity, and market performance. He works directly with the distributor network, has built the systems that govern how Maple & Mahrus products move through trade, and maintains direct oversight of the sales planning and field execution cycle.

His position is that success in Bangladesh FMCG comes down to three things: a product that performs, a supply chain that does not fail, and trade partners who trust that the margins they are promised are the margins they will receive. Maple & Mahrus is built to deliver all three.

“Success in FMCG is built on three pillars: product performance, market availability, and trust. We do not compromise on any of them.”
